How to adjust zoom of reading pane and messages in Outlook?

When reading or composing email messages in Microsoft Outlook, the fonts and images may be too small to read clearly and comfortably. Actually Microsoft Outlook supports zoom feature for adjusting zoom lever. Here I will introduce how to adjust zoom lever of Reading Pane and new messages window in Microsoft Outlook.

Zoom can connect to Office 365 and display your daily meetings, including non-Zoom meetings, or Outlook contacts in the Zoom app. Follow the steps below to connect to your FSU Office 365 account to your FSU Zoom account. With the Zoom Office 365 add-in, administrators can deploy the add-in, with the single sign-on (SSO) url preconfigured. With the url preconfigured, if a user is using the Add a Zoom Meeting or Settings options in the add-in, it will automatically use SSO to authenticate. I use the preview/reading pane in outlook 365 and I can see the slider bar at the bottom where I can adjust the zoom. Problem is I have to enlarge it each time for every email I want to read. How can set this to something other than 100% and make it stick? Also, sometimes I need to fully open an email an I have the same problem - text is too small.

How To Add Zoom Plugin In Outlook

Contacts and calendar integration configured for Office 365; Enabling user prompt for integrating Office 365. Sign in to the Zoom web portal. In the navigation panel, click Account Management then Account Settings. In the Contacts and Calendar section, turn on Ask users to integrate Office 365 calendar when they sign in.

When previewing email messages in the Reading Pane, you can adjust the zoom lever and make the fonts and images fit for reading comfortably.
Shift to the Mail view, click to select the email message that you will preview, and then adjust the zoom lever with moving the zoom slider in the Status bar at the bottom of Outlook. See screen shot below:

Notes:

(1) There is no Zoom Slider in the status bar in Microsoft Outlook 2007.
(2) You can also adjust the zoom lever with clicking in the Reading Pane firstly, then holding the Ctrl key and scrolling the mouse at the same time.

(3) If the zoom slider does not appear in the status bar in Microsoft Outlook 2010 and higer version, you can right click on any blank place in the status bar, and check the Zoom Slider from the right-clicking menu.

You can adjust the zoom lever of new messages window as follows. Disc soft usb devices driver.

A. In Outlook 2010 and higher version, creating a new email message with clicking the New button on the Home tab;
B. In Outlook 2007, clicking the File > New > Mail Message.

Step 2: Click the Zoom button on the Message tab (or Format Text tab in Outlook 2007).

Note: The Zoom button is gray until you put cursor in the editing area.

Step 3: In the popping up Zoom dialog box, check one of zoom lever or specify a custom zoom lever in the Percent box, and then click the OK button.

Notes:

(1) You can also adjust the zoom lever in message window with holding the Ctrl key and scrolling the mouse in a meantime.

(2) If you adjust the zoom lever when composing emails, for example reply/forward/create a new email, the adjusted zoom lever remains in future when you reply/forward/create emails.
(3) Besides adjusting zoom lever for new message window, you can also adjust the zoom lever for any opened email message you received by this method 2. But the adjustment can only work for the current opened email message.

After changing the zoom level with the above method, the changed zoom level will turn back to the original default zoom level automatically when you open and read an email message next time. 2. In the Options dialog box, go to the Zoom tab, check the Enable auto zoom (Percent) in read, compose and reply window box, and specify a zoom level as your need from the drop-down list, and finally click the OK button. See screenshot:

From now on, when you composing or reading an email message in Outlook, the zoom level will be changed to the level you have specified automatically.

    Do you have the option to save the zoom in the reading pane ?
    Kutools give the option to save it for only the opened windows but not for the reading tools.
